Volunteer Event
Join the nation's largest one-day food drive and help end hunger in San Diego. Every May, letter carriers across America collect donations from their postal customers.
Your Role: Volunteer with Porchlight Community Services to sort and load donated food items. Your efforts will help restock their pantry shelves and support our community.

Opportunity Details:

Date: Second Saturday in May

Location: Porchlight Community Services (two locations)

Duties: Unloading, sorting, and organizing donated food items.

Attire: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes.

Physical requirements: Ability to stand, bend, squat, walk, and lift to 20 lbs.
Important Note: This event will take place rain or shine.
